Ingredients

All incoming raw materials are thoroughly inspected upon arrival. The quality monitoring already applies on the choice of raw material suppliers. The application of near-infrared (NIR) technology enables quick analysis and in-process quality control. The raw materials used in individual feeds are listed on the datasheets provided with each feed. These datasheets are available anytime on demand.

KLIBA NAFAG analyses their finished feeds in accordance with the quality guidelines. This requires the determination of nutrients and undesirable substances as well as the identification of the microbiological status. For all analyses KLIBA NAFAG works with independent, certified laboratories.

The scope and evaluation of all analyses are based on the GV-SOLAS “Guidelines for the Quality-Assured Production of Laboratory Animal Feeds” and complies with all customer-specific requests.

Analysis

The ideal composition of a feed results from selecting suitable raw materials in line with the nutritional and physiological requirements of specific laboratory animals.

Wherever possible, local cereals are used as raw materials for KLIBA NAFAG feeds. When exceeding local availability, raw materials are imported from neighboring countries if possible. National legislation does not permit raw materials classified as genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to be cultivated in Switzerland or imported into the country. This guarantees that all raw materials in all KLIBA NAFAG feeds are GMO-free. All raw materials used in production are approved and regularly audited by the authorities.
